These are unprecedented times right now, and as we adapt to living and working in this environment, safety and security remain a primary focus for everyone. As Toronto real estate agents, our team is taking the utmost precautions to ensure our clients safety. Although the coronavirus has changed so much about our lives and how we do business, it is possible to start or resume your search for a property. In fact, now there are even some silver-lining opportunities for buyers to take advantage of!
We have revisited every aspect of buying a home and now offer much of our experience virtually. From an initial consultation over Zoom or telephone, to virtual house-hunting and digitally signing offers, we’ve drastically minimized the amount of physical contact required to buy a home, without lessening the experience.
We are using the top rated Matterport 3D virtual walkthrough technology. Here is a 3D tour we record as an example - link! This allows buyers to tour properties from the comfort of their own home through a personal computer or iPad. Utilizing this technology has allowed our clients to tour a home on their own OR we can provide you with a virtual guided tour! The feedback has been extremely positive, and our clients are loving the convenience of viewing properties digitally from their homes.
After the virtual showings, it’s time to see the serious-contender houses or condos in person. Here’s what to expect during an in-person showing:
Your agent will arrive at the property before you to ensure the property is safe for viewing. We enter with my mask, gloves, disinfectant wipes and protective shoe covers for safety. We ask that the sellers leave all of the lights on and doors open to minimize contact inside the property. Clients will be provided with their own set of gloves, masks and shoe protection if they would like for their own comfort and protection.
Ready to put in an offer? We are getting offers safely signed digitally and are communicating and negotiating with the Seller’s agent virtually.
We also have good news! Virtual closings are now happening in Toronto and progressive lawyers are now able to have you sign closing documents electronically, and all the main banks are honouring digital signatures.
We are continuously working hard to make sure the house hunting experience is the safest and most convenient for our clients! We’re still here to educate, inform, advise and protect; the mechanics are just a bit different.
We’re here to help every step of the way. If you are in a position to buy right now and have questions - lets chat! We can discuss how you might be able to capitalize on this unique buying opportunity.
To helping you create remarkable realestate results,
