August Wrap-Up from the Toronto Home Experts Team!

September is almost here, and with it comes one of the busiest times of year in Toronto real estate. As routines return and the Fall market gets underway, we’re looking forward to an exciting few months ahead for our team and our clients.

In this month’s newsletter, we’re introducing a brand-new neighbourhood feature, where we’ll spotlight a different Toronto community that’s catching our attention, whether it’s an up-and-coming area, a neighbourhood gaining momentum, or simply one we think should be on buyers’ radar.

We’re also giving you an exclusive sneak peek at three properties our team is getting ready to bring to market this fall! Scroll down for an early look at what’s coming soon, and if something catches your eye, feel free to reach out for more details before it hits the market.

Wishing you a safe and happy Labour Day long weekend and a great start to September!

The $130,000 Question: What the New HST Rebate Means

for GTA Buyers

Big changes to the HST rebate are already having an impact on the GTA new-home market, and for some buyers, the savings could be significant.

This month, we’re sharing an article written by Andrew Zsolt, President and Broker of Record at Royal LePage Terrequity Realty, breaking down the new rebate, who may qualify, the important dates buyers need to know, and why the changes are giving the low-rise new-home market a boost while condos continue to lag behind.

Read on for Andrew’s take on what’s changing and what it could mean for GTA home buyers.

Bloorcourt/Bloordale

Continuing our 2026 newsletter series featuring Toronto Life Magazine’s “Twelve Neighbourhoods Destined for Great Things”, we’re highlighting another area they believe is poised for above-average growth based on transit, housing stock and overall desirability.

Next up, Bloorcourt/Bloordale

The Edwardian-style row homes and low-to-mid-rise walk-ups throughout Bloordale Village/Bloorcourt attract first-time home buyers, investors and builders alike. And for plenty of reasons. Currently more affordable than neighbouring areas like High Park, Bloor West Village, and Roncesvalles, and despite dampened market conditions in the last few years, we often see multiple offers on move-in ready properties here. Residents are typically drawn to the cultural diversity, community green spaces like the Dufferin Grove Park (with a year-round organic farmers’ market and community wood ovens), and unparalleled transit accessibility. Bloor Collegiate Institute regularly ranks as one of the top public high schools in Toronto, also luring families into the area.

Commute to the downtown core in less than 20 minutes from one of 3 subway stations, hop on the GO (coming in 2027) being built at Bloor/Lansdowne, or for those who would prefer to commute without a vehicle, you can travel along a multi-use pedestrian and cycling path called the West Toronto Railpath Connection, spanning from Bloordale to the Junction.

Vintage shops, independent cafes, and thrift stores support an indie art scene. The area also features one of the city’s most ethnically diverse restaurant strips, making it a culinary destination for food-loving Torontonians. Historic establishments like the library at Bloor/Gladstone, the Paradise Theatre, Mercer Union (a non-profit art centre) provide local entertainment.

Besides the GO expansion bringing new life into this west-end pocket, major mixed-use projects are underway, combining retail with condos, creating new community hubs alongside new parks and amenities targeting young families and those wanting close community ties in an urban setting.
