Regent Park
Last month, we introduced our new 2026 newsletter series featuring neighbourhoods highlighted in Toronto Life Magazine’s “Twelve Neighbourhoods Destined for Great Things”. Each month, we’ll spotlight one area they believe is poised for above-average growth based on transit, housing stock and overall desirability.
Next up, Regent Park.
According to Toronto Life, Regent Park is entering the final stages of one of the city’s most transformative revitalization projects. Originally developed in the 1940s, the neighbourhood has undergone a remarkable evolution over the past decade. What was once primarily mid-century social housing is now a thoughtfully planned mixed-use community with new mid- and high-rise buildings offering a blend of affordable rentals, subsidized housing and market-rate condos.
As development progresses toward Gerrard and Parliament, new mixed-use buildings and street-level retail continue to reshape the area. Regent Park now offers modern condos, townhomes and improved public spaces, all within close proximity to the downtown core, making it one of the more dynamic growth pockets on the east side.
Ideal For: First-time buyers, young professionals wanting to be close to the core, and investors looking for long-term growth in a fully revitalized downtown community.
Notable amenities: Regent Park Aquatic Centre, Daniels Spectrum (Artscape), Regent Park Athletic Grounds, Regent Park Film Festival, Dundas East shops and cafés, TTC streetcar access along Dundas and Queen.
