Toronto Home Experts

Happy May from the Toronto Home Experts Team!

We had a taste of summer early this year and we certainly did not waste an opportunity to get outdoors to enjoy the warm weather! Now that we're back to more seasonal temperatures (despite the rare appearance of snow on Friday!), we can enjoy the remaining days of Spring.

Our Team has been growing, to ensure that we deliver the best possible service to our clients. New mortgage rules come into effect tomorrow - will be interesting to see if the market is affected by Buyers being able to afford slightly less than they could before. Otherwise, still a shortage of listings, still a lot of active buyers, an improving yet cautious rental market. We had a great informative webinar last month for our landlord clients - watch the replay . Be sure to enter this month's giveaway of a Hudson's Bay summer gift bundle - just in time for Canada Day! As always, reach out anytime to let us know if you have any real estate related questions!

Is Cottage Ownership For You?

One of the biggest pandemic purchase trends we saw resulted in a shift in demand for recreational properties across the country. Without being able to travel abroad, Canadians flocked to cottage regions locally, not only as a getaway, but some permanently relocated to these areas with the ability to work remotely. But is cottage ownership for you? Check out this month's blog post for some important factors to consider before buying a cottage.

Trust and Integrity from Alex!

"We first met Alex in 2013, when he showed us many properties on my apartment hunt. I didn’t get anything, but we kept him in mind when we sold our rental income property in 2015. Four years later, we consulted Alex again, and he was the quintessential professional — but there’s something else. You always get the feeling of trust and integrity from Alex — and that goes a long way with me. Especially as we, or rather, my mother had been burned TWICE by the same realtor many years ago."

For some, firing up the grill is a year-round way of life, while most of us are just getting around to dusting off ours and enjoying a meal off the BBQ. Here is a recipe for The Ultimate Turkey Burger - a favourite item on the grill at the Kluge household.
