Our Experience: Nobu, the iconic Japanese restaurant by renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa, has recently opened in Toronto’s Entertainment District. 

The two-storey space at 33 Mercer Street is a visual treat. The ground floor features a stylish lounge offering a selection of creative cocktails and light snacks, perfect for those looking to unwind before heading upstairs. The second floor houses the main dining area, designed with an open-concept layout that allows guests to watch the chefs at work behind a long sushi bar. 

As for the food, Nobu’s menu offers a refined selection of signature dishes that showcase the chef’s innovative approach to Japanese cuisine. Standout offerings include the melt-in-your-mouth Black Cod Miso. The Yellowtail Jalapeño Sashimi, which balances delicate fish with a spicy kick from the jalapeño, is another must-try, as is the Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice.
