The Toronto Regional Real Estate Board reported a drop in home sales for August compared to last year, with average home prices also seeing a slight decline. A total of 4,975 homes were sold in the Greater Toronto Area, representing a 5.3% decrease from the 5,251 sales in August 2023.
The market, typically slower in August, has yet to fully reflect the impact of recent interest rate cuts by the Bank of Canada.
