In June 2024, home sales in the GTA saw a significant drop of 16.4% compared to the same month last year, despite a recent rate cut by the Bank of Canada. Active listings were up 67% year-over-year, leading to a slight dip in the average selling price which now sits at $1,162,167.
According to the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board, buyers remained cautious, keeping their purchase decisions on hold, a trend which may continue until the Fall.
